The race track in Invanka pri Nitre is the first oval greyhound race track in Slovakia. The Slovak Greyhound Racing Union covers the activities on this race track.

The Slovak Championships 2006 took place with the international participation on the greyhound racing track in Ivanka pri Nitre on the 23th of September 2006. You can check the results in the section Statistics. We congratulate the winners.
Special congratulation belongs to veteran whippet bitch Athena Globe Glass (owned by married couple Charvatovi), which competed first and last time on the track in Ivanka pri Nitre, because Athena ended its racing career and went to the dog´s retirement. Athena ended its career with astonished first place and became Slovak Champion in its category. So we congratulate again.

The sixth training took place on the greyhound racing track in Ivanka pri Nitre with the highest number of participants (25 dogs) on the 9th of September 2006. The training was international, because of owners of dogs from Slovakia, Czech republic and Poland.
Four breeds of dogs (Greyhound, Whippet, Afghan hound and Faraon hound ) competed on the track. The weather was perfect, what was one of the factor, that dogs showed us great performances in solo and joint runs. Young potential winners of particular breeds came to check future competitors. We are pleased with growing interest in this kind of sport. We hope that we meet your requirements and we are looking forward to seeing you at The Slovak Championships 2006, which will take place on the 23rd of September 2006. You can send your application for the race till the 15th of September 2006. Training and Licence runs will take place during the race.
The next training will be 9.9.2006 on racetrack in Ivanka pri Nitre.
Two weeks after the training, 23.9.2006 will start The Slovak Championships 2006. Filled in application form send to any of our contacts till 15.9.2006. The training and licence runs will be performed also during the race day.

First Greyhound race called "Opening race" took place on the Greyhound racing track in Ivanka pri Nitre on the 12th of august 2006. First of race runs was qualification of whippets. It was a mix race. The winner was Harmon Supersonic (owner Pavol Strucka).
The next race was the final of greyhound (mix). Two domestic dogs were expected to participate on this race, however they could not start due to health reasons. That is way only Czech greyhounds were on the starting list. All greyhounds were in excellent condition. The winner of the final race was Ato Boldon Grefina (owner Jana Braunova), which brought the Cap of the Winner (the first in the history of Greyhound racing track in Ivanka pri Nitre).
Trainning and licence runs started after the greyhound race, in which further champions participated. After the short break coming up the final of whippet mix. Again the winner was Harmon Supersonic and became the overall winner of whippets. Harmon won the Winner Cup for its owner.

The first opening race will be performed 12.8.2006 on the racetrack in Ivanka pri Nitre. After the successful series of trainigs the dogs will compete in the race. We hope, that the owners send the application forms in the time.

The results from trainig day 29.7.2006 was added into section Results of runnings. During the whole training day was the hot weather, but some dogs reach very good time. In this training it were the greyhounds from Czech republic (see Track recorders).
At the racetrack was the new breed Rhodesian Ridgeback. More information about this breed you can see at www.skchr.sk or www.rhodesian-ridgeback.sk.
The next training will be 29.7.2006. The training and licence runs will be performed also during all race days (see Racing schedule).
The webpages was translated to English and German languages. There are some sections (like Photogalery) that are not translated, but we hope, that it is understandable for you.
